This is after a piece by the same title by Privat Livemont in 1896.
I saw it while looking around for websites for absinthe. I've never tried the stuff (and I'm not overly fond of licorice), but it's always fascinated me nethertheless. Any way I fell in love with it and I couldn't find a really good image, so I eventually decided to take it on as a project. I have no idea if the colors are accurate because every image I've seen is slightly different, but this closely follows the one I worked from at one of those art poster sites. This actually contains less vectors than Nasty Varmint, so go figure. Created entirely with Corel Draw 10. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
